SURFACE REPAIR & RESTORATION

PORTFOLIO WORK
Some of our recent portfolio work.
A selection of recent restoration projects demonstrating our approach to colour matching, refinishing, and surface repair. Each example shows work on different surfaces using contrasting techniques.

High-Gloss Polyester Piano Corner Repair
DAMAGE
Severe impact damage had broken through the high-gloss polyester finish and underlying substrate, leaving part of the cabinet corner missing and the original profile compromised.
REPAIR
The damaged area was carefully prepared before rebuilding the missing corner and recreating the original curved profile. The repair was then colour matched, filled with polyester, progressively levelled and machine polished.
RESULT
The cabinet profile was restored with a smooth, continuous edge and high-gloss finish, while keeping the repair localised to preserve as much of the original factory finish as possible.
Satin Woodgrain Finish Repair
DAMAGE
Damage had broken through the finished surface, removing the original colour and grain and exposing the lighter substrate beneath.
REPAIR
The damaged area was prepared and rebuilt to restore the original curved surface profile. Colour and grain detail were then recreated by hand to match the surrounding timber, before the sheen was adjusted to blend with the existing finish.
RESULT
The exposed damage was significantly reduced, restoring continuity of colour, grain and finish while keeping the repair confined to the affected area.
Laminate Flooring Chip Repair
DAMAGE
The damaged area was cleaned and prepared before being filled and levelled to restore the surface. Colour and individual grain details were then recreated by hand to closely match the surrounding laminate pattern.
REPAIR
The area was cleaned and prepared before being filled, levelled and recreated to restore the surface.
RESULT
The exposed chip was repaired and the original appearance restored through detailed colour and grain matching, leaving the repair discreet within the surrounding floor pattern.

High-Gloss Polyester Woodgrain Repair
DAMAGE
A localised chip to the cabinet edge had removed the original finish and colour, leaving the lighter substrate exposed..
REPAIR
The damaged area was carefully filled and levelled before being colour matched to the surrounding timber. Fine grain detail was recreated by hand and the sheen adjusted to blend the repair into the original finish.
RESULT
The exposed damage was concealed and the continuity of the woodgrain restored, while keeping the repair confined to the affected area and preserving the surrounding original finish.
